Respect that they did for the sport, but not for bagging that same sport when their time was up. Paulin and Desalle earnt great money through hard work and good results, and nobody can deny the sport owes them for their services. We all know these two didn't arrive into the sport as millionaires right, they had to earnt it and they did. It doesn't matter where the money comes from, as long as these younger riders get the chance to try and improve and eventually maybe earn the type of salaries that Paulin and Desalle earnt. Most riders in motocross start in a team with a small wage (from wherever that comes), then as they improve, to the level of a Paulin or Desalle, they get more money. Both the Frenchman and Belgian have made millions in this sport and their time was just up for the big salaries, it is as simple as that. Both Desalle and Paulin then came out and belittled the same teams that gave them their opportunities coming through the ranks. Rider salaries was made a big issues recently when Gautier Paulin and Clement Desalle were not offered a big enough deal to continue to race.
